With the purpose of creating outstanding tourism products to attract tourists, promoting the image of Bac Ha culture and tourism to a large number of tourists and people, and at the same time recovering and stimulating tourism growth; In August, September and October, 2023, Bac Ha District People’s Committee will organize the Autumn White Plateau Festival with the theme “Sacred Autumn Plateau” with a district scale.
According to the plan, within the framework of the Bac Ha White Plateau Festival in the fall of 2023, many interesting activities will take place such as:
Festival of the Army of Trung Do Temple and the opening of the Autumn Festival in 2023; held on August 25 – 26, 2023 ( July 10 – 11 of Quy Mao) at the National Historical and Cultural Relic of Trung Do Temple, Trung Do village, Bao Nhai commune with rich cultural, artistic and sports activities.
The ceremony to announce the Vietnamese heritage tree (the ancient Shan Tuyet tea population) will take place at 8:00 am on September 2, 2023 in Hoang Thu Pho commune.
Organized the 2nd Bac Ha general sport tourism tournament from September 1st to September 2nd, 2023 in Bac Ha district with the following contents: Northwest mountain marathon – Lao Cai 2023; Running the movement “Discover the Bac Ha White Plateau in 2023”; Triathalon general sports tournament (combined running, cycling, kayaking); Experiential sports tourism program (Bac H’Adventure).
Organized the Com Festival with the name “Huong Com Plateau” in 02 days from September 23-24, 2023 at the 2-storey building of Bac Ha Cultural Market. At the Com Festival, there are activities to demonstrate traditional crafts of making nuggets and contests for processing dishes from rice.
The full moon festival, procession of lights on the roads in Bac Ha town and the beautiful tray contest between the teams will be held on the full moon of the Mid-Autumn Festival on September 29, 2023 (August 15, Year of Rabbit).
Visitors and residents will have the opportunity to experience tea-making contest, tell stories and tea, enjoy tea and watch terraced fields in the golden season of ripe rice in Ban Lien commune on October 7, 2023.
The Bac Ha White Plateau Festival in the fall of 2023 is held to celebrate the 78th anniversary of the National Day (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2023) and the 73 years of Bac Ha Liberation Day (September 20, 1950 – September 20, 2023). Through the Festival, Bac Ha district is expected to welcome 30,000 visitors to visit and experience.
From the beginning of the year until now, Bac Ha District People’s Committee has organized the Spring Bac Ha White Plateau Festival with the theme “Colors of the Plateau” from February 10 to 12, 2023; Bac Ha White Plateau Festival in the summer with the theme “Dance of the Plateau” from June 3-11, 2023 has welcomed about 63,000 visitors.
