The tropical climate in Thailand is generally hot and humid in most of the country during most of the year.
The hot season in Thailand is from March to June. It is characterized by high temperatures and high humidity levels. Temperatures begin to rise in February and reach their climax in April, when sporadic and intermittent rains begin to occur. April and May are the hottest months of the year, and in June the monsoon begins in the southwest area. The arrival of the southwest monsoon during the month of June also marks the beginning of the rainy season that runs from July to October. Although in Thailand most of the rainfall occurs at this time, this does not mean that it is raining all day.
Normally the rains consist of short summer storms that usually occur in the afternoon. They usually last between half an hour and an hour and a half. The rains do not have to be an impediment to visit the country if it is able to withstand temperatures and high humidity levels.
