Enjoying bamboo shoot and banyan trees, communal houses, ferries and traditional villages that specialize in a craft, like the Bat Trang Pottery Village, Dong Ho Folk Painting Village, But Thap Pagoda, Dong Ky Carpentry Village and so on. Trips to these villages can be very enlightening and also a great chance to pick up some bargains.

8:00 AM: We pick you up at your hotel at 8.00 and depart for Bat Trang Pottery Village. On the way, you’ll have a chance to see some Dong-HoVillagevillages located along the two banks of the Red River Dykes. After
two hours visiting in Bat Trang, you’ll have lunch at a traditional Vietnamese restaurant.


PM: You’ll visit the Dong Ho Folk Painting Village where you’ll be surprised by the skilful artisans who use natural materials to make wonderfully vibrant folk paintings. Later you’ll visit the But Thap Pagoda, the cradle of Buddhism in Vietnam, In the afternoon visit But Thap pagoda and the wood - carving village of Dong Ky. Here they made furniture inlaid with mother of pearl and finished off with layer of clear lacquer. In laying the mother of pearl is highly labour intensive, see how it is delicately sawed info fine fish-bone sliver and paints  set into wood.
