You will arrive at the airport, where your driver will be waiting to take you to the hotel. After checking in, you will have the rest of the day to go for a walk and explore on your own.
Overnight in the hotel
After breakfast, we will pick you up at the hotel in a sturdy 4 × 4. We will start our tour visiting the traditional market of Tulikup, where we will see first hand the daily life of the Balinese people. In the village of Kedui we will see how a man climbs for us to the top of a coconut tree with only his feet and hands, to pick up a sweet coconut wine that he elaborates on the top of the tree and to bring us a sample to taste it. We will continue through the Giant Bamboo Forest until we reach a plantation, where we will know the plants from which many Indonesian spices come. After a delicious lunch in a restaurant overlooking the volcano and the lake of Batur, in Kintamani. We will continue to the Temple of Bubung Renteng. Then, we will walk for about 100m of short trekking to have an unbeatable panoramic view of the Batur volcano and its lake, and we will climb again aboard our Jeep to ascend a mountain road, with panoramic views of the 2 volcanoes of Bali: Agung and Batur. We will arrive at the village of Suter, where a man who still manufactures handmade knives keeping an old tradition. Before arriving back to the hotel, we will make a final stop at the Banyan Tree, one of the sacred trees for the Balinese. Night at the hotel
Day off. You can enjoy the beach, taste the Balinese delicacies in the form of seafood and drink some cocktails while enjoying a beautiful day at the beach. Night at the hotel
This day you will have at your disposal a private driver to carry out the following route, in which you will decide for how long you want to stay in every place, so you can adjust your day to your needs: We will begin our day visiting the famous Temple of Gunung Kawi, with millenary engravings on its rocks. Continue to the Temple of Sacred Springs of Tirta Empul, where the Balinese come to take a bath to relieve the bad dreams they may have had the night before. We will continue with our visit to the Temple of Besakih, also known as “Mother Temple”, since it is located on the slope of the Agung volcano, the highest and most sacred mountain in Bali, and from which the Balinese think that the Gods came. We will continue our visit to Kerta Gosa, or Palace of Justice of Klungkung, where we will find representations in frescoes of the life of a Balinese and their Gods. We will finish with a relaxing visit to the towns of Celuk and Mas, where we will be amazed by the great patience with which the craftsmen still preserve their traditional way to work on silver and wood. Finally, return to your hotel or villa.
We will pick you up at the hotel and we will go to the small village of Pejaten, where we will see the curious process of making tiles for Balinese houses, made manually and cooked with coconut bark. Next, we will visit a ceramics factory recognized worldwide for its fine quality and its beautiful details. We will continue our tour to see the local lifestyle in the market of Kerambitan and the artificial lake of Telaga Tunjung, where we will learn about the complex irrigation system. We will then go through cocoa plantations. We will rest briefly in a traditional house of a Balinese family, who will welcome us with a big smile and invite us to drink Bali coffee and traditional Balinese sweets, while they explain us the curious structure of a Balinese house. We will proceed with our tour until we reach the Temple of Tamba Waras, a historical temple of the king of Tabanan from the 15th century. We will arrive at the famous Rice Fields of Jatiluwih, named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, where we will have lunch at a local restaurant overlooking the beautiful rice fields of Jatiluwih.
