At the agreed time, after breakfast, your private driver will transfer you to the Makassar airport to take a flight to Palopo in only 50 min, instead of the rough 8 hours that it takes to cover that distance by road. Upon arrival in Palopo, the guide will pick you up and will drive you for 2.5 hours, including a break to admire beautiful panoramic views of the mountains and the beautiful ocean. We will have lunch on the way and, upon our arrival to the Toraja region, we will visit the Bolu Market, where we will see the Toraja white buffalo, pigs and other local products such as Toraja coffee, kattokon lada (Toraja chilli pepper) and many others. Next, we will visit the traditional Kete Kesu village, surrounded by rice fields, nature and local handicrafts. In the afternoon, we will visit Londa, a mystical area full of culture and history, where we can see natural caves used by locals as cemeteries. There are two entrances to the cave, so we will enter through one and exit through another. We will arrive at the hotel around 5.30 pm, where we can rest. Overnight in our hotel.

The guide will pick you up at 08.30 am to start the day visiting the Tongkonan Papa Batu in Remon, this being one of the oldest, unique and mystical tongkonan. In order to enter you need to call three times with your head in the wooden pillar. In the inside there is a buffalo skull which the locals believe to have the power to cure diseases and even demoniac possessions. From here we will make a small trekking of 1000 steps that the Dutch soldiers made during the colonial period. We will visit then the only Tau Tau figures from the Toraja area, in Simbuang. The locals of this village are very skilled making these statues with buffalo bones, bamboo weavings and others. We will have lunch at a local restaurant in the middle of the rice fields. Next we will visit the tombs in the trees for babies in Kambira. In the afternoon, before returning to our hotel, we will go to Lemo, a mystical area rich in culture and history. Back to the hotel and overnight in Lemo

Today your private driver will pick you up around 7.00 am to take you to Palopo airport, where you will take your flight to Makassar. On arrival you will be picked up and transfered to the hotel. Free time.
